Thermochromic table by Jay Watson
(gifs ain’t mine, I dun own them, they floated up in the google image search la da da dada)
During my first month of SPG, I’ve discussed it with my friends a lot, and there were times when we had contradicting opinions on something, but there was also one thing all of us furiously agreed on:
There was The Spine, and then there was The Spine from ‘Diamonds’.
We couldn’t quite pinpoint why he felt so different in that music video. Appearance? Posture? Mimics? Maturity? We tried different formulations and couldn’t find the right one.
And then it hit me :D The whole music video is basically what The Spine imagines while he sings in the studio, right? So that’s the thing. This is how he perceives himself. This is what The Spine looks like in his own mind’s eye.
Just look. Look at those two gifs. THESE ARE TWO DIFFERENT ROBOTS
No one will ever convince me that Hatchworth does not take full advantage of his weird screw-neck in everyday life. When people try to get his attention behind him, he just unscrews his neck a bit and turns his head 180% like some sort of godless metal owl. And when he feels a particular part of a conversation needs emphasis, he spins his head a full 360 degrees.
(It’s especially funny if he yells ‘Say whaaaaat’ when he spins)
(It will never not creep Matt the hell out)
Coloured UkraineRussiaBelarus, too. Got another on the way :)
Yay for Lofam3 finally coming out!! I haven’t been able to listen to the whole album yet but I know all the music is amazing. I was also overjoyed to be given the chance to do these pieces for Forest Fire (top) and 720413 (bottom).
